Use it when

you're protecting people at higher risk, or someone has had a warning or a device back.

Habits that protect

Everything updated: phones, computers and apps.
Apps only from the official stores, and permissions checked.
Phones lock quickly, with a passcode that’s hard to guess.
Sensitive talk on end-to-end encrypted apps.
Lockdown Mode or Advanced Protection for people at higher risk.
A clean device for the most sensitive work.

If you get a threat notification

Check it’s real by signing in directly, never through the message.
Move sensitive conversations to a clean device.
Don’t reset the phone. An expert needs the evidence.
Get expert help, then think about who else may be exposed.
